Sheila R. Murray, CPA, MBA, CDFM, CGMA, served as Chief Financial Officer of the Diocese of Greensburg from 2010 to 2026, following her tenure as Director of Financial Operations from 1996 to 2010. As CFO, Mrs. Murray oversaw the Diocese’s business services, including finance, information technology, conference center operations, and facilities management, and also provided oversight of the International Priest Program. In addition, she managed the diocesan self-insurance fund along with the diocesan investments, including two pension plans, endowments, the parish deposit and loan fund, and short-term operational investments.
Mrs. Murray served as a Trustee of the Catholic Institute of the Diocese of Greensburg and was a member of the management team supporting the Diocesan Finance Council and the Catholic Foundation boards. She also served on the DFMC board from 1997-1999, and from 2019-2024.
She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1994, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and is also a Certified Diocesan Fiscal Manager (CDFM).
In her free time, Mrs. Murray enjoys traveling with her husband and dogs—especially to visit their granddaughter—and volunteering at her parish, Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
