Archbishop Pérez is the 10th Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, having been appointed by Pope Francis on January 23, 2020. Ordained a priest in Philadelphia, he was previously the Bishop of Cleveland and the Auxiliary Bishop of Rockville Centre. His Episcopal Motto is: “Confide et spera” ("trust and hope").

General Maryanne Miller

Maryanne Miller is a retired 4-star General for the United States Air Force, the first American woman to achieve that rank in any branch of the U.S armed forces. Her last position before retirement in October of 2020 was Commander, Air Mobility Command. As the Air Component Commander for U.S. Transportation Command, General Miller was responsible for directing global air mobility operations in support of national objectives. General Miller was commissioned in 1981 as a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at The Ohio State University. She is a command pilot with more than 4,800 flying hours in numerous Air Force aircraft. General Miller spent 39 years serving as an officer and pilot in our Air Force, but now serves on the Boards of Bristow and Leaven Kids. And since 2013, has been a volunteer and co-worker for St. Teresa of Calcutta’s Missionaries of Charity, serving the poorest of the poor around the world.

Monsignor King is a priest of the Diocese of Harrisburg, having served as Judicial Vicar and Vicar General there, and Judicial Vicar in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. He has been a pastor in urban and suburban parishes and served as Vice-Rector of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Maryland. He obtained the licentiate in canon law degree at The Catholic University of America and a doctorate in canon from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He is on the full-time faculty of the School of Canon Law at the Catholic University of America and adjunct faculty of the Columbus School of Law. He regularly consults in the fields of property tenure and corporate governance with Catholic healthcare systems and Catholic higher education, as well as dioceses.
